I'm sick of hearing women say, "I'm not a FEMINIST, BUT...." I'm not a feminist, but I think my daughter should be able to play Little League if she wants to. I'm not a feminist, but I believe Anita. I'm not a feminist, but I think they should stop bashing Hillary all the time. What the hell do you mean you're not a feminist? Do you mean, "I'm not one of those ugly hairy undesirable women who seems so *angry* all the time"? Or, "I agree with feminists but I won't identify as one because you might think I'm a lesbian"? Or what? Cause if you can't get comfortable with your own sexuality, if you need to worry all the time about what people might think of you, then maybe you should get ON the feminist train and start being open about your beliefs. Maybe you should study feminism past the twisted images we get from the media about it. You might find out that you really DO support feminist, women's, issues. You might find that listening to the opinions of people who hate feminists doesn't really give you a good overview of what feminists say and think. And you might just find that feminism has done a lot of good in the past twenty years and it's far from being over yet!

You are a feminist if you believe that women are equal to men.

You are a feminist if you believe that women and men are not treated equally.

You are a feminist if you are sick of only seeing super-thin, femme women in TV or movies or ads.

You are a feminist if you're sick of going online with a "feminine" name and being approached by guy after guy for cyber-sex.

You are a feminist if Hothead Paisan is your idol.

You are a feminist if you know that you don't have to be fat or hairy or a lesbian or burn your bra to be a feminist.

You are a feminist if you're fine with being fat or hairy or a lesbian or burning your bra anyway.

You are a feminist if you want more from a "women's" magazine or a "women's" cable channel than just shopping, crafts, family, and fashion.

You are a feminist if you can put lipstick on without a mirror.

You are a feminist if you think lipstick is only good for faking tribal markings or football smudges on your face.

You are a feminist if you're proud of your anger.

You are a feminist if you're not afraid to say what you feel.
